See Calendar of Events page for further information on when and where I will be cooking.
Open Hearth Cooking: I will be participating in Open Hearth Cooking at the Covenhoven House, 150 Main St., Freehold, NJ. The circa 1752 house museum is one of the Monmouth County Historical Society properties, and offers tours for local schools and others. Cooking on the open-hearth is one segment of the tour and highlights many of the historical kitchen items and offers a taste of food from a past era.
For more information, check out their website: www.monmouthhistory.org.
In 2009, I visited Historic Richmondtown, Staten Island, NY - below are some of the pictures of hearths, cooking implements and buildings.
